Phil discovered DEXA as a customer when he lived in Sydney and realised his pale, British, skinny-fat body did not look good on Bondi Beach, even at night. DEXA scans provided the motivation to lose his potbelly and the hard data to ditch his expensive but ineffective personal trainer.
Inspired by the technology he returned to the UK to set up Bodyscan at the start of 2014, began operations in Marylebone a year later and established Bodyscan City near the Bank of England in November 2016. Phil performed every scan and consultation for 18 months and still prefers scanning clients to filling in spreadsheets.
Archie Williams Consultant
It’s safe to say that Archie knows more about body composition and how to change it than just about anyone – and that was before the 1500 scans and consultations he’s performed since joining Bodyscan in June 2016.
A competitive fitness athlete and former personal trainer (one of the few who’s actually delivered decent results), his practical knowledge and expertise, engaging personality and personal success with body recomposition all help to explain his outstanding customer reviews. Archie is the architect of Bodyscan’s Personal Coaching programme, which delivers significant and simultaneous fat loss and muscle gains in many clients.
James Rutherford Consultant
If you need help with nutrition (and who doesn’t?) then James is your man. He joined Bodyscan while completing a Masters in Sport and Exercise Nutrition, which followed a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science. He’s also a sponsored athlete for a sports nutrition brand, so you can feel very confident that you’re in safe hands.
Customers frequently praise James’s solid advice (such as this blog post on HIIT), which is based on academic research, personal study and the experience gained from Bodyscan’s hugely diverse client base. If your scan results disappoint, James will assure you that ‘fat’ is still better than ‘fad’ and promote a sustainable nutrition and exercise plan that you can stick to.
